Ruggtek RPA 550 is a palmtop, similar to RP 550 with which it shares the shell and most of the features, with Android operating system.<\/p>\n

\nThe “A” of the name, absent in the other model, indicates that Windows does not run on this rugged device but Android.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

RP 550 and RPA 550 handhelds are similar to a smartphone in size but with unrivalled functionality. And obviously they are not even like a laptop or tablet, devices much larger and heavier devices that these products that, as their name suggests, have been designed to fit on the palm of the hand, thus ensuring lightness and ergonomics.<\/p>\n

Between 12 and 15 centimetres in length, a width between 8 and 10 and a weight of 200 grams, a palmtop is slightly larger than a smartphone, and heavier than most of them (but not all of them!) as it must support much more complex components and hardware.
\nThe battery of a palmtop is always rechargeable, therefore able to guarantee many hours of wireless use, but autonomy is of course reduced compared to the smartphones we are used to: but this is almost obvious, given that its components, and the operating system require a greater use of energy. The specific positive side of an Android handheld such as the Ruggtek RPA 550 is that it can guarantee more autonomy than other products, since Android consumes less energy than Windows, and also requires less RAM and less powerful processors in order to run well.<\/p>\n

Palmtops and handhelds cannot perform too complex operations \u2013 unliked high-end laptops or tablets \u2013 but, since they also feature 4G LTE connection, they are useful for quick changes, as a diary, such as digital notepads smaller than a laptop and tablet, but more powerful than a smartphone.<\/em> In fact, like any device, even handhelds today are produced in a Rugged version that provides them with resistant components capable of resisting shocks and falls, even from very high heights. And, unlike smartphones, their greater thickness allows them to have standard USB ports, infrared reader and barcode reader.<\/p>\n

Ruggtek RPA 550: don’t call it little brother!<\/h4>\n

As said before, Ruggtek RP 550 and RPA 550 are two devices with many elements in common, which differ substantially for the operating system: the former runs Windows 10 Pro, while the Ruggtek RPA 550 has Android 7 Nougat. If RP 550 can enjoy a desktop operating system, the advantage of the other model with Google OS, is that it has a huge variety of applications and programs, the largest currently on the market. Applications that, unlike programs, are lighter and more fluid, and do not take up too much memory.<\/p>\n

RPA 550 is a new generation handheld, comfortable and light, developed with modern 4.0 Industry standards<\/em> that combine technological innovation, design, high resistance and resistance to temperature changes and impacts. The display is a 5.5-inch multi-touch capacitive, made with Gorilla Glass, the type of glass most resistant to scratches and bumps. It is a very bright screen (reaches 500 nits!) which therefore allows good visibility even in the most difficult contexts, such as direct sunlight.<\/p>\n

\nThe definition is excellent, both thanks to IPS technology and thanks to the Full HD 1080x1920p resolution: displaying images, documents and projects is always clear and defined, a factor that should be taken for granted in devices like this, which have been designed for work and business. There are also many ports and connectivity: Ruggtek RPA 550 has a barcode reader both 1D and 2D, RFID connectivity type HF \/ UHF, 4G LTE network for data and voice connection, integrated GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 – for quick import and export of any file on external media – dual band Wi-Fi, and finally a Micro-SD slot for expansion of internal storage.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Talking about the specifications of this device, we have 3GB RAM and an internal storage of 32GB. This is a substantial difference with the twin model RP 550, which instead has a 4GB RAM and a 64 Storage: this is not a limitation, but due to the different operating system. Android is in fact lighter than Windows, and therefore it does not require the same amount of RAM as the Redmond operating system, which is heavier and also more energy-consuming.<\/p>\n

This difference ca be also seen in the processor: RPA 550 has a MediaTek processor, more than enough for the correct functioning of all programs and all operations of the device smoothly, without any lags. Finally, it comes with all needed certifications such as resistance to shocks, splashes of water and dust.<\/em><\/p>\n

Android: the most popular mobile operating system in the world.<\/h4>\n

\nThe Ruggtek RPA 500 runs Android 7 Nougat, the seventh version of what is the most popular operating system in the world, with all the advantages that follow.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Unlike Windows, heavy or professional programs such as AutoCAD or the Adobe suite do not run on this Google software, but it is also true that they are very heavy software not designed for small and light devices such as a handheld. As we have seen, a PDA is useful as a notepad, a digital agenda, and for quick changes to documents: trivially, even the small size of the screen would make any heavy work impossible.<\/p>\n

But beyond this, in the Play Store there are still valid alternatives – often proposed by the same official manufacturers, such as Adobe – to Windows programs, however lighter and designed precisely for the use that is made of a small device. Ruggtek RPA 550 \u00e8 un palmare, gemello dell’RP 550 con cui condivide la scossa e la maggior parte delle caratteristiche, con sistema operativo Android.<\/p>\n

\nLa “A” del nome, assente nel gemello, indica che su questo dispositivo rugged non gira Windows ma Android.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I palmari RP\/RPA 550 sono simili ad uno smartphone per le dimensioni ma non sono ad esso paragonabili per le funzionalit\u00e0. E ovviamente non sono neanche un laptop o un tablet, dispositivi ben pi\u00f9 grandi e pesanti di un prodotto che, invece, come dice il nome \u00e8 stato pensato per stare comodamente sul palmo della mano, quindi garantendo leggerezza ed ergonomia.<\/p>\n

Con una lunghezza solitamente compresa tra i 12 e i 15 centimetri, una larghezza tra gli 8 e i 10 e un peso che rimane entro i 200 grammi, un palmare si presenta leggermente pi\u00f9 grande di uno smartphone, e pi\u00f9 pesante della maggior parte di essi (ma non di tutti!) in quanto deve supportare componentistiche e hardware decisamente pi\u00f9 complessi.
\nLa batteria di un palmare \u00e8 sempre ricaricabile, quindi in grado di garantire non poche ore di utilizzo wireless, ma le ore di autonomia sono comunque ridotte rispetto agli smartphone consumer cui siamo abituati: ma questo \u00e8 quasi ovvio, visto che le sue componenti, e il sistema operativo richiedono un maggiore dispendio di energia. Il lato positivo specifico di un palmare Android come il Ruggtek RPA 550 \u00e8 che pu\u00f2 garantire pi\u00f9 autonomia rispetto ad altri prodotti, visto che Android \u00e8 notoriamente meno energivoro di Windows, e richiede anche meno RAM e processori meno potenti per poter girare comunque bene.<\/p>\n

Un palmare non pu\u00f2 svolgere operazioni troppo complesse \u2013 per questo ci sono appunto i laptop o i tablet di fascia alta \u2013 ma, visto che godono anche di connessione 4G LTE, sono utili per veloci modifiche, come agente, come block notes digitali pi\u00f9 piccoli di un laptop e di un tablet, ma pi\u00f9 potenti di uno smartphone.<\/em> Infatti, come qualsiasi dispositivo, anche i palmari oggi sono prodotti in versione Rugged che li dota di una scocca e di componenti resistenti in grado di resistere a urti e cadute, anche da altezze molto elevate. E, a differenza degli smartphone, il loro maggiore spessore consente loro di avere porte USB standard, lettore infrarossi e lettore di codice a barre.<\/p>\n

Ruggtek RPA 550: non chiamatelo il fratellino minore!<\/h4>\n

Come anticipato, Ruggtek RP 550 e RPA 550 sono due dispositivi con molti elementi in comune, che si differenziano sostanzialmente per il sistema operativo: il primo monta infatti Windows 10 Pro, mentre il Ruggtek RPA 550 ha Android 7 Nougat. Se RP 550 pu\u00f2 godere di un sistema operativo desktop, il vantaggio del gemello con OS di Google \u00e8 quello di avere un parco di applicazioni e programmi enorme, il pi\u00f9 grande attualmente presente nel mercato. Applicazioni che, a differenza dei programmi, sono pi\u00f9 leggeri e fluidi, e non occupano troppa memoria.<\/p>\n

RPA 550 \u00e8 un palmare di ultima generazione, comodo e leggero, sviluppato con i moderni standard Industry 4.0<\/em> che uniscono innovazione tecnologica, design, alta resistenza e sopportazione ai cambi di temperatura e agli urti. Il display \u00e8 un 5,5 pollici multi-touch capacitivo, realizzato con vetro Gorilla Glass, la tipologia di vetro pi\u00f9 resistente a graffi e urti. Si tratta di uno schermo molto luminoso (arriva a 500 nit!) che quindi permette una buona visibilit\u00e0 anche nei contesti pi\u00f9 difficili, come la luce diretta del sole nelle ore pi\u00f9 calde.<\/p>\n

\nLa definizione \u00e8 ottima, sia grazie alla tecnologia IPS sia grazie alla risoluzione Full HD 1080x1920p: vedere immagini, documenti e progetti risulta sempre nitido e definito, fattore che dovrebbe essere scontato in dispositivi come questo, che sono stati pensati per il lavoro. Non mancano, poi, tante porte e connettivit\u00e0: Ruggtek RPA 550 ha un lettore di codice a barre sia 1D che 2D, una connettivit\u00e0 RFID tipo HF\/UHF, la rete 4G LTE per connessione dati e voce, GPS integrato, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 \u2013 per una veloce importazione ed esportazione di qualsiasi file su supporti esterni \u2013 Wi-Fi a doppia banda, e in ultimo uno slot Micro-SD per l\u2019espansione dello storage interno.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Parlando, invece, del cuore di questo dispositivo, vediamo come la RAM sia di 3GB e lo storage interno di 32GB. Questa \u00e8 una differenza sostanziale con il gemello RP 550, che invece ha una RAM da 4GB e uno Storage da 64: non si tratta di una limitazione, ma ci\u00f2 si deve proprio alla differenza del sistema operativo di cui si accennava. Android infatti \u00e8 pi\u00f9 leggero di Windows, e quindi per funzionare non richiede lo stesso quantiativo di RAM di cui ha bisogno il sistema operativo di Redmond, pi\u00f9 pesante e anche pi\u00f9 energivoro.<\/p>\n

Questa differenza si vede anche nel processore: RPA 550 ha un processore MediaTek, pi\u00f9 che sufficiente per un corretto funzionamento di tutti i programmi e di tutte le operazioni del dispositivo senza intoppi, lag o altri problemi. Non mancano, infine, le certificazioni per la resistenza a cadute, schizzi d\u2019acqua e polvere.<\/em><\/p>\n

Android: il sistema operativo mobile pi\u00f9 diffuso al mondo.<\/h4>\n

\nIl Ruggtek RPA 500 monta Android 7 Nougat, la settima versione di quello che \u00e8 il sistema operativo pi\u00f9 diffuso al mondo, con tutti i vantaggi che ne conseguono.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A differenza di Windows, sul software made by Google non girano programmi pesanti o professionali come AutoCAD o la suite di Adobe, ma \u00e8 anche vero che sono dei software molto pesanti non pensati per dei dispositivi piccoli e leggeri come un palmare. Come abbiamo visto, un palmare \u00e8 utile come block notes, agenda digitale, e per veloci modifiche a documenti iniziati in ufficio: banalmente, anche solo le dimensioni ridotte dello schermo renderebbero impossibile qualsiasi lavoro pesante.<\/p>\n

Ma al di l\u00e0 di questo, nel Play Store si trovano comunque valide alternative \u2013 spesso proposte dagli stessi produttori ufficiali, come Adobe \u2013 ai programmi Windows, per\u00f2 pi\u00f9 leggere e pensate proprio per l\u2019uso che si fa di un device di dimensioni ridotte. La “A” del nombre, ausente en el otro modelo, indica que en este dispositivo rugerizado no corre Windows sino Android.<\/p>\n

Los dispositivos port\u00e1tiles RP 550 y RPA 550 son similares a un tel\u00e9fono inteligente en tama\u00f1o pero con una funcionalidad inigualable. Y obviamente ni siquiera son como un port\u00e1til o una tablet, dispositivos mucho m\u00e1s grandes y pesados \u200b\u200bque estos productos que, como su nombre indica, han sido dise\u00f1ados para caber en la palma de la mano, asegurando as\u00ed ligereza y ergonom\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Con entre 12 y 15 cent\u00edmetros de largo, un ancho entre 8 y 10 y un peso de 200 gramos, un palmtop es un poco m\u00e1s grande que un smartphone, y m\u00e1s pesado que la mayor\u00eda (\u00a1pero no todos!) ya que debe soportar mucho m\u00e1s componentes complejos y hardware.

Le c\u00f4t\u00e9 positif sp\u00e9cifique d’un ordinateur de poche Android comme le Ruggtek RPA 550<\/strong> est qu’il peut garantir plus d’autonomie que d’autres produits, car Android est notoirement moins \u00e9nergivore que Windows, et n\u00e9cessite \u00e9galement moins de RAM et des processeurs moins puissants pour pouvoir bien fonctionner De toute fa\u00e7on.<\/p>\n
